Are There Standard Sizes For Door Hinges?
Door hinges have standard sizes. Common standard sizes are usually in inches or millimeters and are used for doors of different types and uses.
1. Standard sizes classified by inches
2 inches (50mm)
Applicable to light doors such as cabinets and wardrobes, with small load-bearing capacity. After installation, the door panel covers about 1/2 of the side panel.
2.5 inches (65mm)
Applicable to medium-sized doors such as cabinets and wardrobes, with moderate load-bearing capacity. After installation, the door panel covers about 1/2 of the side panel.
3 inches (75mm)
Applicable to light doors such as windows and screen doors. After installation, the door panel covers about 1/2 of the side panel.

2. Standard sizes classified by millimeters
35mm (cup diameter)
Suitable for most door hinges, which is the international standard for the cup diameter.
40mm (cup diameter)
Suitable for larger or heavy door hinges, providing greater bearing capacity.
26mm (cup diameter)
Suitable for small or light door hinges, commonly found in cabinets, wardrobes, etc.
3. Installation parameter standards
Diameter of opening: 35mm (cup diameter), suitable for most hinges.
Depth of opening: 12mm, to ensure that the hinge is firmly installed.
Side panel margin: 3~7mm (inclusive), usually 4.5mm, to ensure that the hinge is correctly installed.

4. Other standard sizes
Door panel coverage:
