Common Faults Of Revolving Door Hinges And Their Solutions?

Common problems with revolving door hinges include rust, loosening, blockage, noise, breakage and improper installation. Here are the symptoms and how to treat them:
1.Rusty
Reason: Hinges are prone to rust due to prolonged exposure to air or humidity. Rusty hinges can lead to sluggish movement or blockage, affecting their efficiency.
Solutions:
Choose corrosion resistant materials, such as cold rolled steel or stainless steel hinges, with excellent rust resistance.
Avoid contact with condiments such as salt, soy sauce and vinegar, which can speed up rust. If contamination occurs, wipe immediately with a dry cloth.
How to clean: Gently wipe the hinge surface with a dry soft cloth. Avoid using acidic or alkaline detergents or sprays to prevent residual water stains from causing rust.
2.Loose
The reason: after long use, screws may loosen, causing the hinge to loosen, affecting its structural stability.
Solutions:
Tightening screws: Tighten any loose screws with a screwdriver. Repairing a Screw Hole: If the screw hole becomes enlarged and the screw cannot be secured, use a toothpick or piece of wood dipped in white glue and insert it into the hole. Tighten the screw when the glue dries. Alternatively, drill a slightly larger hole with an electric drill and insert glue and cork, or seal the end of the screw with AB glue and insert it into the hole for extra the securement.
3.Interference
The cause: dust or debris enters the hinge, increasing friction and causing poor movement.
Solutions:
Debris removal: Use a small brush (such as a toothbrush) to remove dust and debris from hinge gaps.
Lubrication: After cleaning, drop a few drops of lubricant or sprinkle some graphite powder on the moving part of the hinge. Then repeatedly open and close the door, allowing lubricant or graphite powder to penetrate the hinge's crevices.
4. Noise
Reasons: Lack of lubrication, rust, distortion or damage to hinges, or loose door structures can make noise when opened and closed.
Solutions:
Tightening screws: Check and tighten all fastening screws. Rust Cleaning: Use rust remover, then lubricant.
Hinge Position Adjustment: If the door structure is loose, can adjust the hinge position or strengthen the door structure.
V. Broken
Reason: Hinges can break when used for long periods of time or under too much pressure.
Solutions:
Replace hinges: If the hinges break, replace them immediately to ensure proper operation and safety.
6. Improper Installation
Reason: The hinge may not be in the right place or securely installed and may not move properly.
Solutions:
Reinstallation: Removal of hinges, repositioning and drilling for installation. Make sure the screws connecting the hinges to the door frame and door are fastened.
Adjust the Hinge Clearance: Turn the adjustment screw gently with a screwdriver to adjust the hinge gap so that it opens and closes more smoothly.
